Hey there, Pogonians –
- It’s Taco Tuesday – YAY!
- The Internet says (so it must be true), today is Compliment Day.
- YOU ARE ALL SUPER AWESOME!!!
I’ve been wrapping up my Wednesday Challenge Badges. Won the “Not Again” Badge in Poppit! Bingo. I’m still working on the “Wild Side” Badge in Sweet Tooth 2, so I thought I might ask our Facebook Fans for some tips. Of course, they delivered—thanks Facebook Fans!
(Did you know Pogo has a Facebook page? Yeah! Join the fun by liking the Fan page)
Thanks for stopping by the Pogo Insider today … I’m glad you’re here.
Sneak Peek: Limited Edition Mini that goes out 1/26
A limited edition Mini item will be available on Thursday, January 26th, 2017. I can’t wait to use it on my own Mini. (Think it’ll look okay with my llama?)
Pogo_Rachael had this to say about this very special Mini item;
“This Limited Edition Mini is based upon a prior Mini we’ve had with Nestor and his date dancing together. We saw a request for something similar featuring salsa dancing and thought hey, why not? We’re always on the lookout for fun suggestions for upcoming Minis; maybe we ought to have a poll here sometime soon to help pick our next Limited Edition item! Anyway, here’s a preview of the goodie item that will be available in the Mini Mall this coming Thursday. We’ve paired it with another background from the Mini Mall so you can see our dancers in action!”
Thanks, Pogo_Rachael! Great idea about running a poll … let me know what you think about Pogo_Rachael’s above suggestion in the Comments below.

Since last week, I’ve seen one Poppit! Bingo question pop up (ha-ha, no,pun intended) more than others:
What’s up with the Poppit! Bingo music? Can you please separate the music from the ball caller’s voice?
Great question! Some people like only to listen to the caller, some just the music, and still others prefer blissful bingo silence. Regardless, I’ve had the same question, myself. So, I chatted with the Game Development Team to get some answers.
They’re currently scoping and prioritizing the next batch of features we’ll see in the next Poppit! Bingo update – and I’m hoping this will be one of them. I don’t (yet) know the exact timing, but it’ll be in the next few months. Once I they commit to a delivery date, you’ll hear it first here!
Keep those questions coming and thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Pogo Insider Trivia: Did you know the music for Poppit! Bingo was written specifically for the game itself (100% original), but it doesn’t have a name? Ack! We’d love to hear your suggestions in the Comments. (Keep it clean, Pogonians.)
Every week I answer two questions (non-technical) related to Pogo. We get lots of questions every week, so I try to focus on common themes or the same question coming from different folks. To submit your questions for the Pogo Insider, click here!
(And if you are experiencing technical issues, please go to Pogo’s Help Page here.)
Can Pogo Llama introduce herself to the crowd?
For sure, thanks for asking! I introduced myself on the Forums, but I didn’t do so here!
I come from the gaming industry and have a passion for Pogo … and Community! I’m a big fan of The Golden Girls (I have a GG tattoo), and I love llamas because of their banana-shaped ears (which obviously reminds me of bananas). And bananas have an ingredient in them that makes you happy and I love being happy, so we’ve now gone full circle!
Why does it take the POGO website so long to connect initially and then once I am signed in why does it take forever for games to load and allow me to play them?
I know how frustrating it is to have loading issues. Total crazy-maker, especially when all you want to do is play your games and have some fun. Makes my temperature boil, to say the least.
That said, going to the Help page and submitting a customer support ticket is one way to get the help you need. You can do that by clicking here.
Our Customer Experience Team has also put together a handy-dandy Troubleshooting Guide containing helpful information. You can access that by going here.
Please do try the Troubleshooting Tips in the guide—it’s the quickest way to get you back up and running.
Remember: A computer works together with software and browsers, and any one of those things can (and will) require possible updates (another crazy-maker). So, making sure everything is clean and updated is a good place to begin, and we’re here to help if it gets to be overwhelming.
Oh! And make sure TV or videos aren’t using your WiFi connection—that can cause loading issues, as well.
Random Non-Gaming Stuff: Recipe for Roasted Potatoes
“Random Non-Gaming Stuff” is just that … random, not about gaming, and just for the heck of it. Feel free to leave some thoughts in the Comments for any RNGS articles folks might enjoy. This week, we’re talkin’ spuds.
I LOVE a good roasted potato. I enjoy them so much that I wanted to give you the steps I take to whip up a deeee-licious plate of potatoes!
- Take a bag of potatoes; any potatoes you’d like. Sometimes I mix yams and regular potatoes together.
- Wash and then slice (careful of those Gopher-Whomping fingers) the potatoes into dice-sized bits.
- Spray the bottom of an oven-safe pan with olive oil.
- Sprinkle rosemary under and over the potatoes.
Pogo Insider Trivia: Did you know rosemary is not only delicious, but acts as an antibiotic, too? Yes! I’m no doctor, but look online to learn about the scrumptiously (I think) interesting benefits of this tasty herb.
- Smash a bit of garlic and toss into the potatoes.
- Sprinkle in some salt and pepper to your liking.
- Preheat oven to 425 on Broil.
- Set the timer for 45 minutes—play Pogo—and keep an eye on the potatoes so they don’t burn.
Ding! Remove from the oven and sprinkle with some parsley. (Watch out—they’re really hot!)
And that’s it for now—whew! Thanks again for swinging by the Pogo Insider, everyone. I’m looking forward to (and will be reading) your Comments over a steaming plate of roasted potatoes! ;)
NOTE: Comments may take some time to be approved. Those which are off-topic or counterproductive to fostering a positive environment will not be posted. Thanks for reading the Pogo Insider!
