Introducing the New Pogo News

It’s HERE! The all-new Pogo News page! And boy are we excited! More pleasing to the eyes, easier to update, and definitely more fun, the new Pogo News Page is *the* place to get all your Pogo News!

Why a New News Page?

Frankly, the old one was looking a bit old, people complained that it was hard on the eyes, and for us – it was difficult to maintain.

What’s New with the New News Page?

You’ll still get all the latest news, reviews, columns, updates, plus more! With the setup of our new design we can now update this page almost instantly.  Not only that, but with our new “Search” field and the ability to “Tag” articles,  we now make finding articles, columns and subjects easier to find!

Guess what else?

We can now add videos and better graphics!

We hope you like the new changes and of course, please let The Pogo Editor know what you think.

Want a trip down memory lane? Here is a screenshot of the old News Page:

Such a monumental project could not have been done without monumental people. The following folks should have their faces carved in a mountainside of granite for their stellar work on this project:

Liam G and Harry B: the user experience and graphic design virtuosos, who came up with the original design.

- Bhavesh C, Tarek Z, Maxim A and Warren H: the engineering and webdev dudes who made our dreams into reality.

Rohan M: Quality Assurance extraordinaire played a huge role in directing the QA efforts.

Susan S and Rodney V: our QA and system admin champions who orchestrated the deployment – which was a pretty complex effort!

- Jim F and the Art Team: the celebrated artists who provided many new graphics and art expressly for the new News page.

- Malcolm B, Bret D and Kevin O: our community caretakers who helped finesse the rough edges and spent a great deal of time posting archived stories to prepare the site for launch.

MEGA HUGE THANKS  to John T, the Product Manager prodigy on this, who was incredibly helpful, patient, and encouraging throughout the process.

And big thanks to Aki K, the original PM on this project, Bob S and Kelly L for their ongoing support (and who would occasionally sing “Don’t Stop Believin’” to us to keep our spirits up during the long months it took to make this happen), Laura S, Pogo_Nee, Pogo_Jeremie, Vivian L, Ida E, and Liz S for their input and help!
