Glad for the New Wheels!
Really want to say a big Thank You for the new wheel chair minis. I am 64 and my own chair was not one of the old stodgy things that I have had as my mini forever. I have had sport chairs for the last 20+ years and it’s exciting to now be up to date. Would love to be able to change clothes in them, but the new chairs are fantastic.
Thank you again,

Russian Mini Collection Wonderful And…
Hi there!
Thought I’d pop in to let you know I think the Mini collection for different countries is a great idea, in fact, fantastic.
The “Russian Dreams” is wonderful, but you must realize that the mini needs the clothes to finish off the theme.
Hope you add the proper clothing for future collections.
Thank you for your efforts.
What? No U.S. Olympic Outfits or Backgrounds?

Editor: Yet! Check the Mini Mall tomorrow!
Nice Gesture for Pogo Bowl, But...
Was delighted to hear from a friend that Pogo had updated Pogo Bowl for the 2012 Olympic Games. So I stopped what I was doing and went to bowl a game right away.
Imagine my surprise when I realized Pogo had gone too far and ruined a game I love. I really love Pogo Bowl and have bowled over 7,450 games. I have even managed to get a very rare 300 game. However, these changes make it totally impossible for me to bowl.
The flags along the side and all the decorations are nice. However, the orange lanes and the pins are very difficult to distinguish apart for aiming the ball. The dots that regular bowlers such as myself use for alignment are now gone from the lane. The faint yellowish lines across the alley that i use to time my curve on the ball are gone also.
In the past when when Pogo has updated games for Thanksgiving with the Turkeys or Christmas the Elves they had the good sense to leave the actual bowling lane alone.
Editor: Thank you for your feedback on this. This change is only temporary, and it is supposed to be fun. But we have heard from many players that it’s a bit too busy and that the new graphics are a bit distracting. The feedback has been given to those who made the design for their consideration for next time.
Me Thinks the Pogo Doth Charge Too Much!
Dear Editor,
Thanks for the newest Premium Badge Album, “Pogo Heroes”. I bought it and I am enjoying it.
There is one problem: You charged 86 Gems for it. There are only 8 Badges in the album, so it should have cost 72 Gems instead of 86.
This happened the last time you released an 8-Badge Album, and you had to refund 14 Gems to all customers who bought it at the higher price.
Are you going to refund the 14 Gems, or did the prices go up?
I just thought I would make you folks aware of the error. Thank you for your time.

Editor: Glad you’re enjoying the latest PBA: “Pogo Heroes”. It’s priced correctly because it’s a full storied PBA. Most PBAs are made up of individual Challenges that usually adhere to a theme, but are not connected otherwise. This, and our “Endless Love” Valentine’s Day PBA contain Badges that when played in order create a story. It’s a bit like a movie in that way – made up of several episodes. So, since they are more “premium”, they do come at a slightly higher cost.
Shaking My Fist at Upcoming Challenge in Bejeweled Twist!
Dear Tahd,
I have NEVER emailed to complain about an upcoming Weekly Badge… until now. I have completed every weekly and premium badge ever offered by Pogo, and some have been difficult, but I’ve done them all.
I didn’t even complain about that Quick Quack badge, finished the original requirement in less than 4 days. And I had opened a 2nd Club account by the time the Tri-Peaks badge was offered, and I completed that one on both accounts.
But the Weekly Badge for next week will not be obtainable for the majority of the Club Pogo members. In your “How to Play” Pogo describes the fruit gem as “elusive” and it can only be created by maxing out the score multiplier (filling the chain meter twice at a 10X multiplier). That is not even an easy thing to do if you have mastered the game.
I realize that we do not have to complete the Weekly Challenges, but I think you realize that most of us are Club members because of the badges. That is what got me to join in 2004, and why I purchase every PBA and Mix-n-Match Badge offered. And I haven’t missed an episode of Clue, Claire Hart, or Admazing Adventures either.
I would only ask that someone attempts to complete this Challenge just to see how impossible it is.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Editor: Thanks for writing, Suz. To be Frank (he usually doesn’t mind), I don’t play a lot of Bejeweled Twist, so I didn’t have any clue as to whether or not this would be a tough Challenge or not. So, I asked Mr. Tiki himself, Pogo_Bret. He assured me it really won’t be that hard and offered up some hints to getting the Badge:
Quick tips to win this Badge:
1. In the game menu – disable “Locked and Coal” gems.
2. Focus on building your multiplier. (Try to make every move a match)
3. After you get to 10X multiplier, fill the multiplier 1 more time for a Fruit Gem.
4. If you do match the Fruit Gem, it will add time to the count-down clocks on all the Bomb Gems.
All My Weekly Badges Complete – Where’s the Parade?
I COMPLETED ALL MY WEEKLY BADGE ALBUMS – YEA!!!!!!!
At long last I have finally completed all my Weekly Badge Albums. I saved the dreaded Grand Prix Dice Derby badge from the 2003 album as the final one. Now I’m thinking “What!! No balloons and confetti?”
At least send me a message like you did when I reached 50,000,000 tokens – It has taken me years to do this!!! Just kidding, but as good as it feels to finish all of them, I am left with the thought that my personal challenges won’t be near as much fun now that I have no badges left to complete. I have to laugh when I think about how some players complain about a badge that takes more than an hour to get because some of the badges from the early years took many hours to complete – they must have been a hearty group of players in the early years.
Thanks for all the fun and I look forward to many more years with POGO.
Kay
Editor: Congratulations! That’s TWO letter writers that have done every single Weekly Challenge… SO FAR! The problem with the Weekly Challenges is that there’s always next week, so when does it make sense to throw the party?
That’s a good question, especially one to ponder as we celebrate our 9 year anniversary.

Concerns about New Friends List Features
It’s a nice idea, but sometimes you add a player to block them, especially if they’re trouble makers. Does it show that you have blocked this player from you friend’s list? If so then maybe you will get more enemies than friends. I don’t think players want more troubles than what can already be gotten by not befriending someone they don’t even know. I don’t really want players to know I put them on my friend’s list, only to block them because I know they have caused trouble for others.
On the other hand I would be curious as to who put me on their friend’s list. It might be a conundrum at best. It could cause bad vibes or good friendships, only time will tell how it will all turn out.
Not looking for trouble Only want to have fun & play pogo.
Editor: There’s a lot of confusion around this. The Friends List is separate from the Blocked Players List. If you are adding someone solely to block them, you wouldn’t add them to your Friends List – you’d add them to your Blocked Players List.
And people who get put on your Blocked Players List will not know that they are there.
I know some players use the Friends List to see where the people they don’t like are hanging out. This change does mean that you won’t be able to do that anymore. Overall, this feature will be put in place for the greater good – more people will be protected by being able to control who puts them on their Friends List than will be annoyed that they can no longer see where the people they don’t like are hanging out.
Editor On Vacation Next Week
Next week your humble (?!?) Editor will be on vacation, and as such there will be no Letters to the Editor column. The next column will appear on August 1.
Keep those letters coming!
