Player Spotlight – beckzilla11

First name:
 Becky

Screen name: beckzilla11

Tell us a little bit about yourself :

I am a 42 year old mother of 2 sons, a wife, an employee and a music lover. I love to be challenged in my Pogo games and pleasant chat with like minded individuals.

State, Province or Country?  Massachusetts. I am a native New Englander!

Astrological sign? Scorpio.

What do you usually play on Pogo.com? Scrabble or any game I can stand playing that has a badge. I am a bit of a (free) badge junkie!

What did you have for breakfast this morning? Coffee.

Do you have a life philosophy? This, too, shall pass. I’ve been through some rough times and prospered and I believe others can, too, if they just see past the darkness.

What is your favorite Pogo.com game? Scrabble. I love word games and the Pogo version with the Bingo is fun!

What’s your favorite TV show? I am not a television kind of person. I’d rather play Scrabble online or read a book. I did enjoy Orange is the New Black, which I binge-watched.

What’s your favorite drink? coffee! I love coffee and espresso drinks!

What’s your favorite season? My favorite season was always autumn, but as I grow older it is spring. The snow in Massachusetts this year was a wake-up call!

Apart from Pogo, what are your hobbies? Reading, walking, hiking, family.

What’s the last good book you read? Stephen King’s “Revival.” I also adore Anne Rice and Laurell K. Hamilton books.

Who’s your hero or heroine and why? I am my own hero. I am inspired by many, but we are all human and can save ourselves. :)

If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do? I would probably do something silly like follow my son in middle school and be his invisible angel on his shoulder.

If you could gently remove any celebrity from the spotlight, who would it be? Oh so many to choose from. Honestly, the Kardashians, as they set a terrible example for our future young women with their glorifying sexual attractiveness over everything else, including brains.

Do you have a clean joke you can share with us? Three white horses fell in the mud… (I am not a clean joke person!)’

How long have you been playing Pogo? Probably longer than the Club Pogo site existed. I started on AOL/EA games in 2000 when I was bedridden and pregnant with my youngest son.

What makes you a unique Pogo fan? I love Pogo more than television? That may not be unique, though!

I can usually be found on Pogo.com playing: I am on Pogo on my days off or before work if I have time to play some wake-up games.

Coffee, tea, or soda? coffee, then water.

Sugary treats or salty treats? both. Though fruit is now my favorite snack.

Cat, dog or small rodent? cat. I have one. I love dogs but cannot afford to keep one yet.

If you could remove any emotion from mankind, which one would you choose? Hatred. Most of the time, hatred is ignorant and harmful to both parties.

  • Hi,
I started in 2001 on AOL. Do you remember me? New England is the only part of US I haven’t been.
That Boston bomber is a disgrace. I don’t envy you being in his city.

    • Hi Catherine,
Big Papi summed it up best. Though I do not live in Boston, it is OUR ******* city! My feelings on the bomber are simple. Send him back to his mother country and keep him out of ours, along with his entire family. ;) New England in the summer time and autumn is gorgeous, when we are not experiencing Nor’Easter storms!

      • beckzilla11 – Becky,

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading and I enjoy playing. It is a good wake up, destresser. My Devotions come first, because with Jesus we can live. Then playing, I play when I take breaks. My you and your family be Blessed. I do not miss the work scene. Have a wonderful week. Dianne

  • Thanks so much for sharing…enjoyed!!!

  • Hello Becky, you seem like a fun personality. :)
Nice to meet you and nice pic.

    • Thanks! I try to live life as much as I can, but sometimes Pogo is the answer to de-stress. You have a gorgeous photo yourself.

  • Hello from another New Englander. Nice to meet you. I also survived the winter of 2014/2015. It really was something. Hoping we don’t see any more like this one. I also am a fan of Laurell K. Hamilton. I have read all of her books that I have been able to get my hands on. I enjoyed reading your spotlight. And as a response to Catherine0115, I am proud to be from Boston. It is NOT his (the bomber’s) city!!!!!

    • Do you like Dennis Lehane? Awesome writer

      • I like Lehane as well, but some of the story lines involve children in jeopardy, which kind of horrify me. Every day a child is abused, neglected or overlooked and even in fictitious novels, these things make me emotionally upset.

    • I so agree Barry/Linda. I was born in Boston, virtually in the shadow of Fenway Park at Boston Lying-In (now Brigham and Woman’s). That city no more belongs to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his thankfully dead brother than it belongs to the man in the moon. I hope they put him in the general population in whatever prison he ends up in. I know what even the toughest cons think about folks who brutalize children!

  • Hello fellow New Englander! It was a very long winter, hopefully a long summer as well!

  • BOSTON STRONG!!!

  • Hey Becky… It seems we are neighbors and I am guessing there is something in our water, because we have a lot of the same stuff in common…lol. I started with Pogo early also… 1999, different screen name, (gosh I’m old). You didn’t say you were in Boston so I’m not sure what the other noise is about! I’ve never really figured out why everyone ignores the rest of our state… but oh well… they’re missing out! There are a lot of nice places in Mass! That snow hit all of Mass hard. I had enough of it too and am glad spring is here! Well it is nice to meet you my fellow Mass–>(hole)<– LOL. I'll see ya around Pogo. Kelly

    • I’m actually south of Boston in a nice little suburb near the RI border! Western MA is really beautiful, as well as parts of the north shore! See you around, I added you <3

      • Thanks for the add… Yep… Western Mass here. Lucky!!! You live closer to RI than I do! We love the beaches there… and go every year. Well, Glad to see you in the spotlight… have fun on Pogo and take care. Kelly

  • Congrats on being in the spotlight!

  • Beautiful Young Lady
    Peace

  • congrats on being in the spotlight loved your story..

  • ALL MADE UP LOL ANYONE CAN DO THAT

    • All real. :) Think positive and enjoy your life journey, there is so much out there to be grateful for! Anyone can submit a player spotlight, you are right. Making things up seems a bit silly at this age, but speculation always wins over realness. Sad but true.

      • You were SO awesome that someone thought you were fake! I love how you handled that. Thanks for your compliment too. <3

  • We must have been related in another life. You could be me, except I am in my seventies.

  • Nice! and reading all about you. You have really pretty blue eyes. Always wished I had those… Again nice reading…:) Cecilia~

  • Nice to meet you Becky. Thank you for sharing your life story with us. Good luck on your Pogo games.

  • Nice profile, Becky, fellow native New Englander! About two feet of snow here on the Cape from the first blizzard, then it just kept snowing after that. Would you believe my favorite season is winter? Yes, because I hate bugs, especially ticks and mosquitoes. *shudder* Wishing you and your family all the best. Go Sox!

  • right on hun I can sooo relate to u witch I find hard to find that rock on u sound awesome

  • Congrats on being in the “spolight.” My husband grew up in Mass and I enjoy visiting his family there. Your state is very beautiful with lots of history. Thanks for sharing your story.

  • I am also from Mass. Hate the snow -love the state. Yea Patriots – go Sox

  • Loved your profile. I too live near the border of RhodeIsland. We might even be neighbors.
