  • So agree with removing jealousy; it would take care of many problems in the world.

Cat lover here too. I have had many cats throughout the years. All the strays seem to know where to find me. lol

How did you come up with the name crazyman? There has to be a good story behind it.

If yo don’t mind I am going to use your spotlight to let every animal lover know about a killer of our pets that we don’t even think of, and most don’t know about.
You can ask a mod to remove this if you want to.

MOLD!!!. To make a long story somewhat short, my house got flooded twice from all the rain we had here. First time wasn’t too bad. I had two cats that liked to wade in water (weird I know).
Well there was some flood water in the crawlspace and they waded in it, and also apparently drank some of it. Max started getting sick. he was lethargic and didn’t want to eat or drink.
took him to the vet ad found out he was very anemic. The vet couldn’t find a cause for it, so he gave him a vitamin B shot and wanted me to give him water till he got better.
He died the next day in my arms.
Then about a week later Life started sick. he was fighting it had, but he also succumbed to it.

I didn’t know that cats could get mold poisoning until I was looking up mold symptoms in humans. Called the vet, and he said that it was something that he probably would never have thought of because it doesn’t happen too often to pets. Plus you would need to find a vet with the right testing stuff to look for it.

So PLEASE if your area has been flooded, and your pet starts getting sick, have it checked for mold poisoning ASAP. Wish I had known it. There is a blood test for it for both animals and people.
(I’m gonna post this in the general forums for others to know too). Sorry to use your spotlight to tell others about it, but we all know how heartbreaking it is to lose a pet.

  • Oh yeah, the reason he was anemic was because of lung hemorrhaging. It was slow and not detectable unless an x ray is done of the lungs. he wasn’t spitting up blood either, so we never thought to check for it.

  • NICE TO MEET YA STEVE…GOOD LUCK IN ALL YOUR GAMES AND AWESOME BADGES……PAULA

  • Nice interview, Steve. Sorry about the loss of your super hero. Lost both of mine as well. Pogo on, Dude.

  • dear Steve; sorry about your;my dad died Dec.20/2015.it is a very hard lost, Agents of Shield is a terrific program. Your story is very nice and I enjoyed reading it!

  • let me fill in the joke. 3 female potatoes are out having lunch. 1st female potato says I have a date with a Wisconsin russet, other two go ooh ah ooh ah. 2nd female potato says I have a date with a Idaho baker, other two go ooh ah ooh ah. 3rd female potato says I have a date with Walter Cronkite, the other two sigh in disbelief and tell her he’s just a common tater. (you said clean) Very good interview!

  • Congrats on being the player spotlight this week. If the numbers at the end of your name are a zip code than you live the next town over from me so hi neighbor. I too like cats (ya think since I have about 13 of them). I too am sorry about your dad. I know how you feel. My dad passed away at the end of April.
