Player Spotlight – Degenerate108

First name:
 Kyle

Screen name: Degenerate108

Tell us a little bit about yourself :

I’m Kyle, I’m 28, I work full time in a food bank, I love my job and the people I work with. I get up each morning knowing that I get to help take care of marginalized people that really need the help. Although I love my job I would love to further my career into civic government.
When I’m not working I’m hanging out with my children, they’re my best friends and seeing them happy means the world to me, in the summer we go for walks and that means we always have time to stop and look at everything we find a long the way, watching them grow and learn is one of my most favorite things to do.
I was born and raised in Brandon Manitoba, It’s the second biggest city in Manitoba Canada, terrible roads but it’s home lol.
I’ve been with my spouse for 11 years now, we’ve been together since high school, she’s my best friend in the whole world and I love her more than anyone else. I come from a large family, we’re spread out across the entire western half of Canada. I am also a lifelong double leg amputee, I don’t see things as obstacles rather they’re things I want to accomplish.
State, Province or Country? Brandon Manitoba Canada

Astrological sign? Virgo

What do you usually play on Pogo.com? I play a little of everything, I enjoy competitive games the most though, usually the fuller the room the better. Dice City, poppit, yahtzee, everybody wins bingo and lottso are a few of the games i most frequently visit.

What did you have for breakfast this morning? I don’t usually eat breakfast, I did have a bbq chicken and vegetables lunch though. Very tasty.

Do you have a life philosophy? Life is short, and and you only get one shot at it. No regrets along the way.

What is your favorite Pogo.com game? Hmm Poppit was the first game i ever played so let’s pick the classic.

What’s your favorite TV show? The Walking Dead

What’s your favorite drink? G2

What’s your favorite season? Spring/Fall

Apart from Pogo, what are your hobbies? I love music, and walks and conversation, I can talk about anything so long as I have an interesting person to talk to.

What’s the last good book you read? lol honest answer, De-Escalating Potentially Violent Situations, and before that St. Johns Ambulance CPR and AED training guide.

Who’s your hero or heroine and why? Hero’s are the epitome of the mountain, I’m more interested in creating my own path, rather than following down someone else’s.

If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do? I’d probably spend it pretending to be a spooky ghost, so I’d be scaring people. Lol.

If you could gently remove any celebrity from the spotlight, who would it be? Justin Bieber or Rob Ford. And it would be gently.

Do you have a clean joke you can share with us? Lol nothing that would pass the censors I’m afraid.

How long have you been playing Pogo? This account I signed up with in 2002 i think. But I had an older one I made in 1999.

What makes you a unique Pogo fan? I dunno, I’ve been around in some form or another since almost the beginning lol.

I can usually be found on Pogo.com playing: whenever I have a bit of free time, usually in a multi-player game room the fuller the better.

Coffee, tea, or soda? G2.

Sugary treats or salty treats? Hmm dieting, fruity.

Cat, dog or small rodent? Cat.

If you could remove any emotion from mankind, which one would you choose? Self-entitlement, and lack of empathy. People are so involved with themselves these days that they often miss what’s happening all around them. The good and the bad.

I,also loved watching my children grow and gave them every chance I could for that to happen.
I have,on occasion had to use the food bank and was treated with such dignity it almost made me cry.
Your philosophy of not being disabled is an inspiration to all of us.
    I am also Canadian,Alberta,BRRRRRR!!!!
I must say my mother is my hero..not that I want to follow a path but because she raised 3 children by herself in a day when that was unusual.
Perhaps we will meet up in a game one day but thank you for putting a smile on my face and for just being you.You are a treasure.

  • I think this is the best spotlight I’ve read yet.

Instead of whining about poor me and striving to make everyone else equally as miserable, you bust your butt to help others less fortunate than yourself.

A lot of people could learn a lot from you. You have my admiration.

your Spotlight is well deserved. You do so much for others that have little or nothing, a person like you makes me believe there may yet still be hope for mankind. Hope you have enjoyed your week.

  • When I spoke to Dengenerate108, and called him an old Soul…….I merely meant that in spite of his age..even if very youthful, he has a prescence about him that suggests wisdom and level headedness that usually only comes from life experience…….did not mean anything bad.

  • An all-round nice person. Thank you for sharing. I have that hat but in a different color. :)
