Player Spotlight – Fussy2345

First name:
 Peg

Screen name: Fussy2345

Tell us a little bit about yourself :

I am the mother of 5 tough children who have raised a host of tougher grandchildren. Such as; 9 year old Grandson is a professional Bull Rider. need I say more?

State, Province or Country? Missouri

Astrological sign? Cusp Pisces and Aries I am Midnight’s Child.

What do you usually play on Pogo.com? Bingo, Turbo 21, Poker, but I am like a kid in a candy store, racing from one to another games.

What did you have for breakfast this morning? Coffee

Do you have a life philosophy? If you are going to worry about that!!! What will you do when something big comes along?

What is your favorite Pogo.com game? That’s tough.. I seriously like several.  Card games, Bingo perhaps I am versatile or psychotic. LOL

What’s your favorite TV show? Aw yes the older the better Westerns, Mysteries, some humor as in “Mash”.

What’s your favorite drink? Coffee

What’s your favorite season? Fall is good, the elaborate colors among the trees, Winter the beautiful wild game with a clean white snow, Spring brings the Dogwood the blooms of flocks crawling down a rock wall. Summer “Hot and Sticky”. LOL

Apart from Pogo, what are your hobbies? Cooking

What’s the last good book you read? The Innoscent Man, John Grisham.

Who’s your hero or heroine and why? John Wayne, much like Ronald Reagan he was far more than an actor.

If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do? I fear I would have to take things from the over indulgent churches and divide it among the hungry children.

If you could gently remove any celebrity from the spotlight, who would it be?

Robin Williams and Larry the Cable Guy, both should be running this country as President and Vice president. Yes I am serious. They have the education, they would just have to take a pay cut.

Do you have a clean joke you can share with us? My 16 year old grand daughter and I were watching “Lonesome Dove”. She asked me why the pigs followed the wagon. I explained to her about the slop bucket under the wagon. Suddenly she said; the wagon is leaving let’s watch and see if they follow it this time.

How long have you been playing Pogo? 14 stress lowering years.

What makes you a unique Pogo fan? Pshaw I happen to be the Village idiot.

I can usually be found on Pogo.com playing: In the afternoon and late evenings. Anytime I am not drumming up some new idea in the kitchen.

Coffee, tea, or soda? Coffee

Sugary treats or salty treats? Blending is best.

Cat, dog or small rodent? Pooches, I get a lot of mileage out of 2 5# Chihuahuas and a 100# American Bulldog

If you could remove any emotion from mankind, which one would you choose? Greed, I miss the times when people helped neighbors after a tragedy.

  • Nice!!!!

  • You sound Lovely….

  • You gotta love a fellow country girl.

  • A fellow pooch lover with grandkids. What a wonderful life.

  • i have 2 kitty cats, i did have a dalmation and dachsund, and 3 kitty cats, i lost in katrina, i don’t
have any children. Nice to meet you.

  • Very witty & charming woman. I agree with a lot of things she has to say, but she might not have heard as we have that Robin Williams is no longer with us, which is a total shame since he was one of my very favorite actor-comedians. I am a fan of Larry the Cable Guy too. I don’t agree with everything she says, but she has some good ideas about politics, which I think are kind of in the toilet the longer Obama is in the White House.

    • I agree with you that she is very witty…However, my parents taught me well in respect. I am directly related to a President of the United States and my parents always told me that regardless of who was elected President that’s what they should be called by. Whether it be President Bush or President Obama, they deserve that respect. I am almost 80 years old and still follow their advise and feel calling the President just by their last name shows no respect for the office. Not blasting you at all, but it’s food for thought.

      • Bingo !!

      • I was very confused by your post, took me a long time to figure out you were talking about baj’s post not really anything about Fussy2345. Sorry but I thought this was supposed to be about the player spotlight.

        • So sorry you are confused ! Actually it’s about comments that are made in relation to the person in the spotlight that has brought about thoughts by any and all ! Have a good evening !

        • actually my comment was in relation to BettyHTs post not bajs !!!

      • Betty, Your parents taught you well and I am sure that is reflected in others in your life.

      • So is calling it Obamacare being disrespectful. How about Ronald Reagan or Reagan National Airport, or George Bush International Airport, or George Washington University or The Kennedy Center or Lincoln National Monument or The Washington Monument?

      • I agree!

  • Enjoyed reading your comments.

  • Frankly I think a dead guy in the white house wouldn’t be considered a downgrade since John Wayne, or was it ronald reagan, was in office!!! lol

  • How refreshing. You are a good person, kiddo. Live well

  • be my valentine

  • You cannot be a grandmother to a 9 year old, you don’t look old enough. What a lovely profile and I love your toughness, but I’ll bet your a marshmallow underneath, especially for those grands.

    • WoW Thank you. I confess the picture was taken when I was 60, I am 65. 15 grandchildren number 15 arrived last April. LOL She has a 23 year old sister and a 21 year old brother. Have no doubt Daddy is 47 years old and we have teased him so badly he has white hair now. LMAO

  • Hi Peg,

Robin would of made an interesting President (may he rest in peace) I don’t really like Larry the Cable Guy I don’t find him funny or entertaining (but that’s what makes the World go around is different opinions) I have to agree that John “Duke” Wayne was more than an actor as was Ronald Reagan, both set out to do good and they both met that accomplishment (with of course potential speed bumps)

M*A*S*H* is 1 of my all time favorites (both the Movie and TV show respectively), if you like good political stuff you may want to read some Tom Clancy. I am currently reading his work just for the fun and joy I get out of his work. His best though are the Jack Ryan novels.

Hope to run into you here in Pogoland

  • Peg, Congrats on your spotlight!!!

    • Lovely picture of u,,& if u need help robbing the rich churches to feed the hungry,,count me in. loved your spotlight :)

  • Hi Peg,

We both like and admire the same people. John Wayne and Ronald Reagan. Both were great men in their own special way. I have a 4yr old grandson that is a little toughie also. Hope to see you in one of the pogo games.

  • Aries on the cusp of Pisces. We might share a birthday. March 21! Happy birthday to you, in any event.

  • While I did enjoy reading yoour spotlight,I am offended by your statement about churches. I know around here the churches provide everything from food, clothes, funds to help homeless people into houses, and even help getting medications. That is like lumping all into one, not every church is good and not every church bad.

    • Actually, she never said ALL churches were bad, but you have to admit some churches are all about money

      • She did say “over indulgent” churches, not churches in general. I think understand what she means by “over indulgent.” There are some religious institutions, some have been on TV, that are all about the pledging and giving and then the leadership lives a lavish lifestyle. The Boss man’s Son didn’t live that well and HE paid the ultimate price. Would that we all could live so humbly and follow the example set for us.

      • If you read my last sentence it said “not every church is good and not every church is bad.”

        • Don’t forget the first part of the sentence, “That is like lumping all into one….” You didn’t say all churches were bad or good an neither did she. Nor did I.

    • I am sorry, it is not my intention to offend. My problem is when I see a 2 or 3 year old baby girl with little blonde curls, hungry and picking at anything on the floor or ground to eat, and a brand new church being built one block away. I get real testy. Another thing I don’t believe God or our Savior would like it either. I do believe I am closer to them out in the forests near a fallen tree or a glorious view of the mountains green in the spring and rolling as far as the eye will allow. <3

  • Nice profile Peg, you are a little bit of a Robin Hood aren’t you. Enjoy the Pogo games, and Happy New Year to you.

  • I am a Pogo addict. you have quiet a lot of the same feelings as do I. I would join your club if only to watch Lonesome Dove. One of my family asked why I keep watching Lonesome Dove-my answer was I keep watching hoping that in the end Gus does not die.I also was in love with John Wayne-watch his movies over and over.As for our President I wish everyone showed respect._I have lived thru 16 Presidents-some good some not so good .I have yet to find one that was or is perfect.Hats off to you Mr President.I am Aries and cannot wait until John Grisham brings us another book He is my favorite author. Enjoyed your spotlight .

  • I like your apparent transparency answering the questions… I find you very interesting and knowledgeable… type of person I like for a friend. I am a Pogo addict having been sidelined due to ill health and age and so in need of distractions to keep from holding pity parties for myself. I prefer the older movies with real story lines and talented actors who also had very real and significant things to say aside from acting in movies etc.. I dislike a lot of movies of todays world due to the filthy language, poor or nonexistent story line which would have been called pornography in the past. I too am a fan of John Grisham and also a fan of John Sanford another very talented author. If only the movie industry would hire writers such as these. I think presidents along with anyone else in life need to earn respect of others. Honesty and uncompromised viewpoints (no political correctness for me) are essentials. We need to admit our enemies since they do not hesitate to name us as enemy. Burying your head in the sand does not make the very real danger disappear. Every country has a right to defend itself including Israel so we must take the side of right always.

    • Well said, lauralouise36! I enjoyed reading (and agree with) your comments. :)

    • Well said Lauralouise.

    • How bout the Lord of the Rings movies? Those are so awesome, love the extended versions. The acting and dialogue is so good. Take care

    • Oh me too… Randolph Scott, women worked and looked like they were working. Not stepping out of a band box. The hill girls didn’t wear shoes, darn sure didn’t wear high heels and their hair all done up. LOL I have had a couple of strokes myself. Pogo keeps my mind working, it’s difficult but I do know it is a good thing. Have a fabulous New Year filled with Love brimming over with family and friends.

  • Congratulations on being in the player spotlight this week! You have an interesting profile; I’ll bet you’re a riot in real life! You’re a beautiful lady with beautiful hair! (I’m jealous of the hair!) :)

  • Nice post Fussy. You certainly have an interesting outlook on life. Have fun on Pogo. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

  • I sent an email to an AP reporter a few years back asking why he referred to the President by his last name only. His reply was the AP guidelines stated that the first time his name was mention it should include President ….., after that last name only. Peg is from Missouri, so were my parents and several generation before them. People in Missouri are great people and tell it like it is. As far as respect goes, I was taught it has to be earned. I enjoyed your profile and agree with you about Greed.

  • CONGRATS PEG – YOU ROCK – KEEP ON KEEPING ON !!

  • Hello nice to meet you & very nice professional photo! Way to go on being a mom, I’m sure you are a wonderful one!

  • All I can say is hell yell. I agree with everything you said. You are mine kind of friend. Nice to meet you, and hope to play some pogo games with you. Thanks for keeping it real.

  • You for one do not look old enough to have 5 kids. But you sound like a great person, stay the way you are and you will be great,, I am going to add you to my friends list and hope you do not care.

  • Very Nice Profile an WTG on this weeks “SLP”..
Never Be ashamed to say how U feel.. its does not mean disrespect if U call even the prez by his last name.. as for the Churches.. remember people true church is in the heart not that building.. we that serve a mighty GOD serve only One GOD an his Son JESUS the Lamb of GOD.. so remember the heart only JESUS knows… I agree lets feed the hungry an help the homeless instead of building the fancy buildings people call a Church….
GOD Bless those whom wish to B Blessed By The Great I AM!!!!!
