I am 64 years old and originally for East Syracuse, NY. I am married and live in Davisburg, MI. I have a daughter 38 yrs old and a stepdaughter who is 46 yrs old with 3 boys. I had a dog Cocoa female dachshund but she developed diabetes and we had to give her up to a rescue group due to finances.

well IrishKatie, I am somewhat like you except as for Justin Bieber I will disagree, because I live in and around Vegas and I can tell you as for Justin Bieber he about 2yrs. ago help out a Junior High School by giving a concert at their school and buying these kids a night to remember. I say this because this school almost all of these kids and their parents are homeless. I believe it is 75% of the children in this school. I am 63 yrs. old and don’t care for his music but I do feel he has compassion for other people, because the casinos never helped this school. Also on a smaller note the media hardly even gave him any credit for this and the fact these kids recieved gifts also.
Live and let live folks. Why are SO many older women interested in removing Justin B? Is he even 21 yet? My guess is that it is a copycat answer. (unless there are a lot of older women checking out Justin B). Give the kid a chance. It is, afterall, not our job to judge. (Just as I’m sure most of us would want OUR children, grands and greats, to not be judged. Compassion. Where has it gone?

“Older Women”? How patronizing!! LOL Some of us just have good taste. There are lots of great young groups and I form my own opinions. As for checking him out, no thanks. I guess this older woman has better taste.

So sorry U had to give your doggie away.. I understand it can be expensive to care for sick animals.. we always seem to get the sick or handy capped one but I would never give them up… Meant nothing bad toward U about U halving to give your fur baby up.. I do understand things are hard for 99% of people today..

children if they became ill ??? Dogs are our 4 legged children !!! Did
you ever think of that !!!!!
For knit01, I understand how you feel but maybe the expense was simply more than they could bear and maybe the money had to be used to help her 2 legged grand kids. The dog was given to a rescue organization, which is what they do, help dogs and owners who can no longer give the dogs what they need. She didn’t give the dog to the pound or dump it on the side of the road. Sometimes one must decide between the human children/family and the dog. Please try not to be too harsh until you have walked in someone else’s shoes.

actually they had 4 choices to make.
1. surrender it to an organization that CAN provide the medical care that animal needed.
2. let it suffer from it not bein able to get the meds it needed.
3. dump it somewhere.
4. personally put it down.
tell me now WHICH option above is the BEST option.

I should imagine it wasn’t a decision given lightly and with no emotion!!! she was thinking of her dogs welfare before her own needs,so before you slam her her just think!!!!

I wouldn’t let the naysayers bother you. Life is not easy but we all do what we have to do to survive. For the record, I agree with your choice to remove one obnoxious imbecile from the spotlight.. That negative little [expletive] needs to go back to his own country but I’ll bet they[Canada] don’t want him there either!!

I also like genealogy. It is so interesting finding information of those who lived before us and the similarities that exist with the living generations. Birthdays, dates of marriages and even the dates of death. Going to find a grave and seeing where they are buried. The internet has really helped us in this hobby. I am basically Irish with a tad of English. You have the kind loving face of a gentle soul. Bless You.
