  • Nice bio…I enjoy reading them. Have fun playing Pogo!

  • I enjoyed reading your Bio Rita. I too am a sagittarius, and a voracious reader. A room without books is like a body without a Soul. I also agree with what you said about jealousy, I believe Jealousy is invariably a symptom of neurotic insecurity. I will have to google the punchline to your clean joke so I know what the joke is, it’s got me thinking.

  • HELLO RITA, WOW, CAN YOU IMAGINE ALL THE NO’S, NO’S YOU WOULD SEE & HEAR IN HANGING OUT WITH HER?

  • I liked reading your profile and before I saw your sign, I already knew you were a Sagittarius! This is one of the best signs ever! …You seem like a lot of fun….Nice profile…Also, I agree, I wish jealousy was removed too. It ruins a lot of lives.

  • Hi ya Rita.. nice profile. I think the joke is along the lines of:

“That story has been told in many ways. The cat actually came out of the hills and chewed up Roy Roger’s favorite boots. He hunted the cougar down and brought it back draped over his saddle. Mom stepped out of their cabin and said, “Pardon me Roy, is that the cat who chewed your new shoes?” to the tune of “Pardon Me Boy, Is That the Chattanooga Cho-Cho.”

  • Hi Rita,
I read Cordurouy Bear to our daughter years ago. I am a Capricorn. I have been a member since the club was formed
I saw Michelle Obama dance the other day with Jimmy Fallon on tv. They were great. it looked like Jimmy was dressed like a woman.
Michelle said that she first met Jimmy when he was dressed in a suit at a bbq at the White House. She said Barack asked him if he was “going somewhere” and if “he didn’t receive the memo that it was a bbq”.
Michelle has a great sense of humor.
    I will miss that family.

  • Supposedly this is about Roy Rodgers.

One day, Roy had seen a beautiful fancy pair of cowboy boots in the general store. It had fancy hand-tooled leather, with decoration that any cowboy would love to show off. Roy decided that he had to have that pair of expensive boots- and so, went out and risked his life capturing desperados for the reward money, headed cattle, broke broncos- anything he could do to raise the cash to buy those boots. Finally, after a lot of hard work- he had enough money to buy the precious boots!
Well, Roy was very proud of those boots- and all the cowpokes and townspeople stood gazing in admiration at his fancy footwear. The boots were Roy’s pride and joy…and then, one day, when Roy went into the bunkhouse where he had left them- he saw the beautiful boots torn to shreds! He surveyed the damage in the bunkhouse- and realized that a wildcat that had been reported prowling around the ranch had snuck into the bunkhouse when no one was there, and chewed up everything in sight- blankets, mattresses, clothing- and, sadly- Roy’s boots.
Roy was furious- and word quickly spread about what had happened. The townspeople saw a resolute Roy head out into the far reaches of the ranch, intent on only one thing- finding that wildcat. He searched high and low, not stopping to eat, until just before sunset- he saw the vicious wildcat on top of a bluff. The cat saw him, too- and was about to leap at Roy, when the cowboy’s lightning-quick reflexes made him pull out his gun, and blast the animal! Roy had his revenge…and he hoisted the now inert body of the wildcat up onto his horse right behind his saddle. He rode back to town, and, when he arrived- the townspeople spotted him and his victim, and all said as one (to the tune of “Chattanooga Choochoo”) – “Pardon me, Roy- is that the cat who chewed your new shoes?”

  • Surely you’ve heard the old joke:
Roy had a brand new pair of shoes. He goes to visit his friend. Being polite, he removed his shoes and leaves them at the door. While visiting with his friend, the friend’s cat discovers Roys new shoes, likes the smell and proceeds to chew them up. Roy goes ballistic. The friend, feeling very bad, has a dilemma: he has two cats. One of the cats enters the room at that moment. The friend then asks: Pardon me Roy, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?

Repeat that punch line to the tune of the Chattanooga Choo Choo and substitute these lyrics: Pardon me, boy, is that the Chatanooga Choo-Choo?

    ;)

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwesome :)))

  • Rita, I was talking to my sister last night & asked her about the “…pardon me Roy, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes”, & she said it was from a Roy Rogers & Dale Evans movie, when Roy found his new shoes chewed by something & he & Dale had gone out to kill a cougar & that’s when she asked him that.

  • Hi Rita. Great spotlight. I laughed that you could only remember the punch line of the joke. That’s the part I always goof up. I also loved the line about being retired but not dead. I’m gonna steal that ;) And you’re so right … POGO is full of great people.
